Our Rose Valley violins are made exclusively for Fiddleheads by chosen guest master makers

Each instrument is crafted to near completion in a Bulgarian violin workshop. They are then tweaked, improved and expertly finished with a stunning varnish by two of our master makers, Angela Moneff and her husband Ivan Stankov using the same tools, materials and special varnish as they do on their own master-grade instruments.

Fun Fact: These violins are named in homage to where they are crafted, the picturesque Rose Valley region of Bulgaria. The area is acclaimed for its rose oil perfume [buy it here] and a famous annual rose festival.
