[REVIEW: Facebook, 5 stars] Fiddleheads was amazing to help my daughter pick out her first violin!

She can’t wait for more lessons with you.

I'm needed some new violins at the school. As Rhiannon predicted, the first set of cheap violins we bought elsewhere are not a high enough quality for our grade 2 students whose playing level is much higher than last year!

We have quite a few of Fiddleheads' Sun models in larger sizes and I got some more at the 1/4, 1/8, and one 1/16 (for our tiniest kindergarten student). Excellent.

I have been happy with the 2 violins we recently purchased.

We bought a ¾ violin for Isaac, who is 9years old. He is so happy to have his very own violin. After seeing how eager my 5 yr old seemed over Isaacs violin, we bought him a 1/8 violin. He is so happy with it and is trying very hard to be responsible with it.

Thank you for making these instruments affordable. It is such a joy to have music in the home.

They are fantastic! They are even better than what we had hoped for. It is a real joy to listen to the music they make. My daughters are very very very happy and so I am :-) .

Amina got her new violin only 2 weeks before the annual winter concert, but her teacher let her play with it anyway because of the lovely sound. The concert was great and everyone had a wonderful time.

Our violin teacher is also very happy with the violins. She says they are excellent. She told me that Canadians have a reputation of selling good quality violins (compared to France ......). I would not be surprised if she contacts you.

All this to say THANK YOU, Rhiannon, for your help, for the violins and for the wonderful way you treat your customers.

I must also tell you our youngest is thrilled with her Sun violin too :)

I bought this violin outfit for my granddaughter.

Now I have another violin student ready to go to 3/4 size and I ordered another.

The violin is beautiful. Cadence enjoys the size very much.

We love the sound of the new violin too.

We are just not used to a "real" violin...in comparison, the other one Cadence had looks and sounds like a toy! :)

The 3/4 violin is beautiful! Lisa hasn't seen it yet as we are giving it to her for her birthday but we are sure she will LOVE it.

[UPDATE: 2 months later] Lisa loves her new violin!

She took it out of the case on her birthday and played her working piece which is one of the Seitz's in Suzuki Book 4 immediately and she never looked back from there. It sounds great already and we look forward to a year from now as we know it will only get better.

She had difficulty and lacked motivation this winter.... she is falling in love all over again with the instrument.

We are upgrading her size to a full size now.

I have just spent about an hour on your website and I think I'm sold!

I am the music director at the Fredericksburg Methodist Church in Fredericksburg Texas and have a fledgling music school which started as a normal church children's choir. But as an educator and former band director, I just wanted to give the kids more.

We have several former music teachers at our church and so I began the Kid's Music Academy which was a step up from a children's choir by teaching not only vocal choir music, but also adding in a theory section and an instrumental section which to this point has been using bells and choir chimes.

We had the privilege of connecting with a local Suzuki violin teacher and have decided to include strings into the mix. We want to purchase enough instruments so that our kids get a 3 or 4 week taste of playing then rotate in a new group of kids. I would like to have 4 of each size but we just can't afford it at this point. I hope this will develop into a long-term Suzuki class for some of our kids, but I just want to give all of them a taste of it.

All that to say I've been warned by Theresa that we not settle for 'cheap' instruments because they just won't last and have a terrible sound. I got a go ahead to purchase 7 violins. My plan is to use these only as an introduction to students who might wish to seriously begin learning on a better quality rented instrument from a local company.

I have just received the violin I ordered via Canada Post. This is the 3rd violin I have ordered from you. The first 2 were for my youngest son Austin who grew from his 1/4 size right into a 3/4 size.

This last 4/4 violin was ordered for my oldest son Avery (now 14 yrs old). I was pleasantly surprised when he asked if he could start playing violin again recently.

He said it was his favourite instrument to play. He loves the violin's colour. If he continues to play regularily, then I will certainly call on you when it's time to upgrade his violin.
