My favourite part of my childhood was violin lesson day with Rhiannon

[REVIEW: Facebook, 5 stars] I started with Rhiannon back in salmon arm, and did about 7 years of lessons with her, and they were some of the best years of my life! She is an amazing coach and I was honoured to be one of her students.

She makes learning a fun, positive experience for every student that she teaches. My favourite part of my childhood was violin lesson day with Rhiannon.

I miss learning with you so much and our pleyel duets that we used to play together! Rhiannon also helped me restore my great grandfather's violin that was passed down to me, and used her knowledge to guide us in the right direction to getting it repaired, I still have it and it's now something we will have in our family forever.

I can't say enough good things about fiddleheads violin studio, we miss you in salmon Arm!

Rhiannon's setup made my violin sound like a different instrument

I am glad you find [my violin purchased at another shop] easier to play and sounding better. I value your opinion a great deal. am looking forward to getting it back. I had to work hard and use a lot of pressure to get something out of "The Beast" before.

I will have to change its name to
Beauty now instead of the Beast.

Thanks so much for fixing up all that could be fixed and I am greatly encouraged that you find it so much improved. You shipped the lot to me without payment. Now that's trust.

I will absolutely let you know when the parcel arrives. I am really looking forward to the transformation from beast to beauty! Anyway, send along the invoice and I will send along the payment with great appreciation and thanks for your great service.

My daughter is getting a new case, I get a new shoulder rest and mute and a new and improved violin along with a great customer experience. A guy can't lose!

[UPDATE] I haven't had much chance to play my violin yet, but my very first impression is that it is a different instrument than the one I sent off to you. It is so much easier to play. A light pressure with the bow is all that is needed now whereas I needed lots of pressure to get much out it, especially the G string.

The tone is much sweeter as you said. I can still hear some of the nasalness you mentioned but the overall quality of sound has improved so much I can live with some nasal quality. I'll just pretend its a fine French violin LOL.

I am very happy with the results and want to thank you and your luthier for taking the time and care turn the Beast into a Beauty.

I'm a bit sad to think that I waited for so long before I decided to do something about the fiddle as I have struggled with it for a long time, but if I ever need anything more done I know where I will be sending it along with my girl's instruments.

Eventually [my daughter] will want a new violin. She has made great progress this year and the red sparkly won't cut it for too much longer. I will turning to you when the time comes. I know I will be able to rely on you to provide a good quality experience for her.

Thanks so much again for all you have done. It has been real fun being in touch with you once again and a great pleasure doing business with you.

Setup help on French violin

I must thank you very much for your time and trouble with an 1850's violin by Jules Granjon out of Mircourt France. The violin was in need of re bridging and a general tune up.

I will, of course, not hesitate to recommend you to my musical friends. Once again many thanks.

Honest advice saved us money

You may recall that about a year ago my husband sent you my violin for repair, and it turned out that it was a cheap violin that was not worth the time and money to repair.

We were very grateful at the time for your honest appraisal and advice, Rhiannon. Thank you for your help.

Excellent repairs at a fraction of the prices in Vancouver

Living in the lower mainland [Vancouver region of BC] I was faced with overcharged repair costs and very unfriendly luthiers. Even from the first email I received, I could tell Rhiannon cares about every customer and answered all my questions.

The repair price was a quarter of the cost I could have gotten locally and was charged very little for new parts. Its like a brand new violin. Thank you so much!

(I could have gone on for pages about how you saved my fiddle but I think this is better.)
