Looking back on some of the 40-plus nominations and wins for Rhiannon's musical and business achievements from 1995 to now

1995: Rhiannon holds six trophies including the coveted Outstanding String Musician, Best Section and the Grand Music Trophy in addition to their corresponding perpetual trophies. She graduated from high school that same week in La Mesa, California (San Diego County) and was also presented with the "1995 Bank of America Achievement Award in the Field of Music" (not photographed).

 

2002: Rhiannon (age 25, mother of a toddler) and Fiddleheads Win BC's 3rd annual EDDY (Enterprising, Dedicated, Dynamic Youth -- under 30) Award for Creativity in Business. The formal gala event was held in Penticton, BC and was sponsored by TD Canada Trust. Rhiannon had only immigrated to Canada and started the business 5 years previously.

 

2003: Rhiannon and Fiddleheads Win BC' 4th Annual EDDY (Enterprising, Dedicated, Dynamic Youth) Award for Service Excellence. Presented at a formal gala event in Penticton, BC and sponsored by TD Canada Trust, this was Rhiannon's second consecutive EDDY win, a first for the EDDYs.

 

2004: Rhiannon is presented the BC's EDDY (Enterprising, Dedicated, Dynamic Youth) Finalist Plaque for Community Involvement in Salmon Arm, BC for her work with Fiddleheads and in creating and running the Shuswap Violin Society. As it was the scaled-back fifth and final year of TD Canada Trust awards, there was no gala event.

2005: Rhiannon wins Best Young Entrepreneur Award (for businesspeople under age 30) at the Shuswap Business Excellence Awards in Salmon Arm, BC

 

2006: Fiddleheads wins People's Choice Award in the Shuswap Business Excellence Awards in Salmon Arm, BC

2006: Rhiannon wins Classical Artist of the Year at the Okanagan Music Awards, pictured with Gospel Artist of the Year and previous music collaborator Greg Sczebel

 

Rhiannon's Classical Artist of the Year Awards from 2006 and 2007 with BC's Okanagan Music Awards, which recognized superior musical talent in the BC Interior.

 

Pregnant Rhiannon receives an award

2007: Rhiannon, pregnant with her second child, receives the Green Award at the Shuswap Business Excellence Awards in Salmon Arm, BC.

 

2018: Fiddleheads earned the prestige as an esteemed finalist of among many nominees for Small Business of the Year at the Kamloops Business Excellence Awards, hosted by the Kamloops Chamber of Commerce. She had only relocated to Kamloops a couple years earlier but the business had run strong since 1997 in two rural communities, Nelson then Salmon Arm, BC, previously. Rhiannon is shown with her husband, Don Anderson (married in 2017).

2021: Again Fiddleheads won an award for green practices, this time the "title="Fiddleheads Wins Environmental Leadership Award... Again" Environmental Leadership Award" with the Kamloops Business Excellence Awards.
