Label inside reads "Eduard Reichert- Dresden, fecit anno 1912."
This fairly old violin was made in Germany. Many German violins from this era carry the Reichert trade-name and this was most certainly among those made in a workshop as a "trade violin."
That said, the instrument is in fantastic shape for its age. The usual dings and scratches are present, but all add charm and character to a nicely seasoned instrument.
The violin's timbre has a bright bite to it; "edgy" and crisp. Very clear pizzicato. The sound really pops; to be appreciated by a player who wants to be heard over the group: suitable for fiddling or classical alike.
