This stunning violin, made in the style of the renowned 1715 'Titian' violin by Antonio Stradivari, is handcrafted by Ivan Stankov, one of the finest Eastern European luthiers today. Stankov uses traditional Italian methods of construction, and select well-seasoned European spruce and Balkans maple tone wood. The violin is finished with premium-quality pine-resin oil varnish skillfully brushed over a special coat of mineral ground following the method of England's David Rubio. Rubio developed this advanced varnishing technique after many years of studying the genuine violins of Giuseppe Guarneri and Antonio Stradivari. The finish of this violin features a gorgeous warm golden-reddish color of a stunning transparency and incredible optical depth. This instrument has a remarkably lush, full sound with remarkable volume and clear projection. The warm, deep, clear, yet powerful tone is rich in nuances and beautiful ringing overtones making this violin a true solo instrument to be greatly appreciated by professional musicians. The violin is equipped with fine hand carved boxwood fittings and Evah Pirazzi strings. It is branded on the inside and accompanied by a signed Certificate of Authenticity from the maker. About our ViolinsAll our violins have been carefully selected for their strong, clear tone and are luthier set up, including new bridge, soundpost and strings. Most used instruments have been upgraded with quality matching pegs, end button, tailpiece and chinrest. Trades are considered towards the purchase price. Other instruments can be located and brought in upon request. Regarding the authenticity of instrument labels, it is a tricky business to prove authenticity of instruments even for the finest luthiers. Sometimes the counterfeits can be finer than the originals! Therefore I regret that I cannot ensure the authenticity of used instruments unless they come with a certificate. All instruments are sold as-is. An exception is with instruments with repaired cracks which open up, in which case we would have it repaired for you. TrialsTrials are welcome in our shop (Salmon Arm, BC) or for 14 days in your home. More info OrdersPlace your order by email info@fiddleheads.ca . We accept Paypal for easy online payments.
