Handmade Bench Violins with Certificates (Master, Professional Grade) from $4490 USD

Available in a variety of finishes and colours, 1- or 2-piece back and sometimes special order in 1/4, 1/2 or 3/4 size.

One each of Stankov and Stoinov violins are available each year in an intense "crazy back" flame pattern [closeup]. These instruments, if unavailable at present, can also be custom ordered and take 8 weeks or so to be commissioned. This is an exicting experience, to request an instrument and wait for the day it arrives, and a few Fiddleheads customers have enjoyed the process of commissioning an instrument very much.

Some Bulgarian Violin Feedback

The thought of purchasing a violin not only over the Internet but in another country was a bit unsettling to me. Rhiannon was friendly, accommodating, and answered all my questions. She provides a great service where one can take an instrument [on trial] and I quickly took advantage of the offer.

I received the [handmade Bulgarian Kocheff] instrument within a week to Alabama USA. The violin was well packed. Once received the intrument was better than anticipated and sounded fantastic.

The more I played [the Kocheff violin] the more I appreciated the quality and sound of the instrument. Overall, I’m a very satisfied customer and would highly recommend Fiddleheads to anyone looking for quality instruments from an establishment with great customer service.

Thanks to Rhiannon's keen sense of matching the instrument to a player (even when we're SOOOO far away), we ended up buying a Moneff violin. If you are a serious violin student looking for great tone, clarity & projection from an instrument with the potential to open-up and do even greater things with time.... in addition to getting a good overall value, you should try the Moneff.

The [Stoinov] violin has a wonderful projecting sound and great sustain. It's an easy instrument to play and there is definitely at least $6000 worth of violin there to play.

The response is great. The bowing to achieve a great sound requires less pressure on the strings to achieve a very noble sound than other violins. I'm glad I bought the Stoinov and appreciate your speed in getting it to me.

I’m not sure whom adopted whom here, but I am very grateful that this Moneff and I have come into partnership.  I get to enjoy a truly beautiful (sound and workmanship) instrument, and at a price I could afford.

As it plays in it develops greater depth of sound and character with a range and scope which I strive to learn to properly utilize.  HUGE value for dollar! Well done Ms Moneff, and thank you. [Read full review]
