Fiddleheads Violin Studio Testimonials & Feedback: Teachers' Feedback

Thank you for being a great resource for me and my students.

I have referred a 4th student to you. She recently purchased a 7/8 violin from you.

We are very pleased with your business and web site. I will be looking to purchase a professional viola from you in the near future.

Thank you and God bless.

- Monique, Violin Teacher, Myrtle Beach, SC

I am a fan of yours since one of my students bought a beautiful little violin from you.
Thanks!

- Joan King, Surrey, BC

Hello Rhiannon! I got the shipment [of Primo Violino Etudes] this morning!

I checked out each instrument and everything looks (and sounds!) more than satisfactory. They came just in time too to check out to the small handful of students. The violins look and sound amazing for their price point! (I know I already said that). Thanks for accommodating my requests!

Also, I'm really glad I went with the Carbon Fiber bow [upgrade], since the bow is often what limits technical development, and because CF is so durable.

Thanks again!

- Daniel Baskin, Orchestra Teacher at Lakota Middle School, Federal Way, WA

The [All for Strings] books look good, I think it's just what we need after a year of learning to play by ear.  My 7 and 8 year old students pounced on them eagerly. They are reading words well now and it seems a natural extension for them to start to learn to read music.

- Lorna Robin, Creston, BC

First of all, thank you for shipping 4 violins to my new student.  It has been an interesting experience for us all.   As they probably let you know already, they chose one of the 905 models.   They brought me the other 3 violins yesterday and I have been showing them to some of my other students.

One of the 903's is very popular - it has a particularly nice warm tone.  Three people were interested in it, although only one is ready to purchase right now.  I told her I would give her your contact information, so she can discuss payment with you.

Another family is interested in the Ming Jiangs as well.

UPDATE: Thanks for the help with my [other] student - it is a nice 905 they got there.

- Bethany Goluboff, Violin Teacher, Toronto, Ontario

Thanks for your prompt reply! Our teacher is Bethany Goluboff and she has been very impressed with your service and the quality of the instruments. Thanks for all your help!

- Dan, Burlington,  ON

Got the package!  The stands are GREAT.  The Bon Musicas have all found homes! Just as you said, when people try them out they want to keep them. Thanks Rhiannon

- Lorna, Violin Teacher, Creston, BC

The violin arrived in excellent shape - and just before the big day (Christmas). Thank you.

- Julie Schryer, Violin Teacher, Ontario

Thoroughly enjoyed your article about cheap violins. I've made two violins so far and have a few good student violins here that get scoffed at because I want $450.00 for them professionally set-up and ready to go with a case and a decent bow.

Why would you want your child trying to learn on a instrument that will only frustrate them?

- Dan, violin maker & advocate for quality student violins

Just discovered your wonderful website. I am a violin coach.

The student outfits I have seen [before contacting you] are disgusting...thick bridges at the same curve height, fine tuners in tail piece that have little range of tuning, pegs that do not fit properly in the peg box for starters...oh yes! ...and poor quality strings that have been on tooooo long.  The bows often are warped and need rehairing.  My student is not able to draw a decent sound quality from her present bow & viola.

The other issue is integrity with the different shops selling.  I realize I am preaching to the choir.

I would appreciate interacting with you regarding viola acumen.   Thanks a bunch....love your dedication and love for the violin/viola.

- Allison, Tooele UT

Thanks so much for answering all of my questions about those two cases and for contacting Bobelock for me as well. I truly appreciate your superior customer service.  I look forward to my new case!

I'll be sure to recommend your company to all of my fiddle friends and students in the future.

- Heidi, Edmonton, AB

In the course of searching the net for information on violin sizes ( I am looking to measure a 7 year old for a violin tomorrow) I came across your very user friendly website and have been browsing for the last hour or so.

Like you I'm passionate about the violin and the piano. I'm a teacher of both. When I was younger I learned the classical (reading/ technique) method but also learned to play by ear which I'm sure you would agree gives the best of both worlds. I love your site.

I am so glad now I chose to practice because now I do what I love; teach and play.. If I'm ever in your neck of the woods I plan to visit. Feel free to do the same if your ever in New Zealand.

- Peter, Violin Teacher, New Zealand

Your website is truly huge!  You are to be commended for keeping it up.

I'll put your business cards right on my piano, and  I'll give them out, for sure.  Every little bit helps.  (There's nothing like an actual piece of paper). I will begin giving them out right away.

Also, thank you for your nice new year card.  It is also on my piano (In fact, most of what I own is on my piano!)
