Fiddleheads Violin Studio Testimonials & Feedback: Bellissima Violins Reviews

We recently decided, at the advice of our boys' violin teacher, to purchase 4/4 violins. My husband researched a number of violin shops and many websites to get an idea of what to look for and what kinds of questions to ask.

We had purchased our 3/4 [Fiddlestix] student violins at Fiddleheads and had a really great customer service experience. You were so willing to spend time and explain things even though we were just looking for an entry-level student violin. As a result of our researches and our experience with you last time, we decided to purchase our full size violins from your store.

Once again, you were so gracious and accommodating. We really felt confident in our choice, and chose the Bellissima "Rosanna" and "Maria." They arrived in 3 days, in perfect condition, and in tune! We hadn't told the violin teacher that we had ordered them, and when she arrived for lessons she was thrilled! They are absolutely beautiful.

Among the many lovely qualities they possess, the violin teacher pointed out the following: they are the 2013 model, but they don't sound new -- they have a great tone which I understand will only get better; they have a high quality bridge which is really well-placed; the Voxy Vogue bow is wonderful -- well balanced and nicely weighted.

We are so happy with our purchase -- the boys are very proud of their new violins, the teacher is very impressed by the quality, and we all love the sound.

Thank you so much again for an outstanding experience. We will wholeheartedly sing your praises to anyone else looking for a new instrument! Yes, I will absolutely throw your name around when the opportunity arises -- I'm sure the boys' teacher will too.

- Tammy & Bernard, Calgary, Alberta

My new violin sounds very nice. It has a nice warm, whole sound to it. I like the look and feel of the violin too.

- Ryan (age 15 - hence his loss for words), Fort Frances, ON [Read his mother's feedback on the trial process]

I pulled out the [Bellisima] violin last night when I got back to Revelstoke for some show and tell, and a 'jam' broke out.  Accordion, guitar, fiddle, piano....we made lots of noise.

They were all impressed with the purchase.  Some of them had a try.  But the fun's over now.  Gotta go practice.

I'll definitely let you know how things go, and I really appreciate the time and care you've put into showing me the ropes...

- Denis, Revelstoke, BC

Both beautiful [Bellissima] instruments are a joy to play. So far, I like the tone of both. I look forward to giving them both a good workout this week.

[UPDATE: 1 week later] I like [the Bellissima] Capriccio.  I'ts responsive and easy for me to play, the sound is even and the tone is very warm and full.

- Sue, Enderby, BC

Thanks for the pictures of the Bellissima [Aurora Borealis] violin.  It truly looks fantastic and just what I had in mind for the green colour, especially [since] it is really a little darker than the pictures.

- Dan, Ontario, Canada

Hi Rhiannon, Happy Valentine's Day! I received the violin today and it's Beautiful!!!! Love the back of it too. Thanks for all of the pins and for the great deal on everything. You are too generous! I will definitely look at your store first for all our violin needs!

Thanks for the great deal on this violin. I never thought at 35  I'd enjoy learning the violin so much.

- Dana, Cherry Hill, NJ

My impressions were that I thought the [Veronica] sounded better to me than the [Adriana], with me playing them for a couple hours each before my teacher tried them. When my teacher played them they both sounded nice. Both are easier to play (for me) and certainly sounded better than my rental (~$400).

My teachers impressions were that the Veronica is the better instrument in sound and looks, he actually guessed the prices on both of them at $50 under (Adriana) and $100-200 over (Veronica).

His overall impression was that the Veronica would suit me for a long time, maybe forever, although he thinks I may get good enough to upgrade in the future and likes that you have higher level violins. He obviously sees more in me than I do at this point ;P

On an interesting note [regarding the Bellissima violin]; My teacher is a viola player, when I used the rental, he would use his instrument to demo a passage, but now with my new violin he uses it instead.

- Jean, St. Charles, MO

[Veronica] violin arrived today. Bri and her grandfather opened it together. Bri loves it. She loved the little pin, thank you so much. When she gets used to it I want to do some photographs of her and I will send it to you. Thank you Rhiannon,

- Angie, NB
