Fiddleheads Violin Studio Testimonials & Feedback: Simpatica Wood Bows
[Our teacher] Cvetozar said the bow is great. So far my son has only played with it today at his lesson. Driving home he told me that he loves it! I know [another customer] was looking forward to trying hers out.
Sadly, we can't play like Cvetozar, but he sure sounded great on it today :-) Thanks, again.

Rhiannon used her expertise in this area to pick a [Fiddleheads Simpatica VN-65] pernambuco bow to match with [the $14,000 Topa Violin]. I am very satisfied with the bow I purchased. I tried various bowing styles, you name it - legato, spiccato, staccato, sautillé - it gives a full and smooth sound and with much clarity and response with this violin. Thank you, Rhiannon.

I got to play with the new bow yesterday & today. I think it's really great - much better sound from my violin. So I guess it's a keeper. Eventually, I hope to be able to actually make better use of it. Thanks for your help with this.

The Grunke bow arrived yesterday. It's a lovely piece of work, very German in its precision of workmanship, balance, and the sound it produces--crisp, precise, every note clear. Thanks for alerting me to this and for facilitating its purchase.
After playing it for an hour, my guess that the Grunke is a heavy bow proved correct. The weight is 62.6 g, which after weighing it, I discovered was on the sticker attached to the frog. No wonder it draws so much sound out of the violin. A Douglas Raguse bow I tried was light and lively, fun to play, but it did not produce the round tones I wanted, especially on the lower strings.
