Student Ensembles
Fiddleheads Violin Ensemble
Though they started out with a repertiore including "Twinkle Twinkle," the Fiddleheads Violin Ensemble has developed into a popular group of dedicated musicians. Light-heartedly nicknamed "The Salmon Arm Symphony," these Fiddleheads Violin School students have played in over 40 community events. Their specialty is a Christmas carols concert.
This "symphony" plays more than just the classics. From a Mozart quartet to a Celtic jig or old-time waltz, the Fiddleheads create toe-tapping nostalgia for audiences of all ages. In eight years the group has had over 50 members who's ages range from nine to seventy-five.

Fiddlesticks! Orchestra for Kids
Kids under age 12 gain "real orchestra" experience among peers in this fun and inspirational group of beginner violin players.
Mentoring and a team effort motivates the children to practice their parts and gain confidence and self-esteem. Participants prepare for a public performance, where they are gently encouraged to play a solo.
Fiddlesticks is structured for younger players. Beginners ages 10 and up are encouraged to join Fiddleheads.
Fiddlesticks classes are scheduled as enrolement allows, usually taking place on weekends or Monday evenings. It is very important that members attend the rehearsals so the players benefit from a large group experience, learn their parts and keep the players interested.
Please indicate your interest so a class can be started up. Contact the instructor.
Cost: $5 per 30-minute class
