Students of all ages study at FVS. Complete beginners to upper-intermediate students are welcome. Rhiannon offers violin/fiddle as well as viola instruction.
Note Rhiannon is currently teaching part time. During full-time teaching years Rhiannon sadly turns away 30+ students as her lessons are in very high demand.
Though Rhiannon cannot take many new students, she is happy to provide her teacher's expertise in assisting new and experienced players in purchasing instruments, music books and accessories. Visit the Fiddleheads Violins Shop
Classes Offered
Private Instruction with Rhiannon Schmitt
Study classical, fiddle, blues, world music and other styles in an inspirational, supportive environment with an experienced teacher who engages with her students. Personalized sessions which suit the student’s needs and learning style include studying technique & ergonomics, note-reading, ear-training and current music theory. Read Student Testimonials |
Ensembles/ Classes with Rhiannon SchmittFiddleheads Violin Ensemble: Beginners to intermediate players of all ages welcome. Group rehearses in November & December for Christmas performancesFiddlesticks! Orchestra For Kids: Beginners ages 4-10. Group plays fiddle music. Private Lessons are offered to beginner to upper-intermediate players all ages (children to seniors). Violin and viola lessons are available in 30, 45 and 60-minute sessions for violin and viola.
